Speakers
Lynette A. Pujol, PhD, MSCP is a clinical and prescribing psychologist. She treats patients with integrative care, including pharmacotherapy in a large tertiary care military hospital. She is Deputy Director of the FDU MSCP program. She is a fellowship-trained health psychologist and was previously employed in a pain management practice associated with a medical school where she performed research and provided clinical services. Dr. Pujol has been the Primary Investigator or Co-Investigator on studies involving spinal cord stimulation, functional restoration, diabetes prevention, sleep, and treatment of suicidal concerns. She writes and publishes on topics related to evidence-based medicine delivered through tele-behavioral health and psychopharmacology. Most recently, she launched a website (PEP-Steps) to assist MSCP graduates study for the Psychopharmacology Exam for Psychologists.
Caroline Williams, PhD, a clinical and medical psychologist, has prescribed psychiatric medication in New Mexico for 13 years. She recently relocated to Boerne, Texas, where she provides diagnosis, psychological assessment, brief therapy, forensic evaluations, supervision, and training, out of her private practice. During her 27 years as a psychologist, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings including community mental health, federal probation and parole, homeless outreach, psychiatric inpatient, the legal system, primary care, and medical hospitals. She served as a professional member of the New Mexico Board of Examiners of Psychologists (NMBEP), and continues to serve on the NMBEP Rules Committee, and Prescription Management Program (PMP) Committee. Her other leadership positions include five years’ as Continuing Education chair for SPA, New Mexico’s prescribing psychologist organization, and current activity with TPA’s prescribing psychology division, working to obtain prescribing privileges for psychologists in Texas with advanced training.
