About Alyssa Arredondo:

Alyssa Arredondo is a 3rd-year Counseling Psychology doctoral student at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU), committed to fostering positive change through psychology, and deeply committed to decolonial and neuroaffirmative therapeutic approaches for minoritized clients, including adults with later-in-life diagnoses of ADHD. She operates a virtual private practice as a licensed professional counselor, with a strong emphasis on cultural humility and a special focus on serving ethnically and sexually diverse young adults. With a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from OLLU in 2016, Alyssa's counseling approach centers on cultural humility, particularly for ethnically and sexually diverse young adults. Her counseling addresses critical life transitions, racial trauma, and the lived experiences of neurodivergent individuals. She firmly stands with the LGBTQIA+ community and advocates for social justice and inclusivity, aligning with movements like Black Lives Matter.
