Lizbeth K. Garcia-Bravo, PhDBilingual Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Garcia-Bravo is a licensed psychologist specializing in individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment with adults. She earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and her undergraduate degree in psychology from Texas A&M University. Dr. Garcia-Bravo completed her APA-approved internship and postdoctoral residency at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, where she specialized in clinical geropsychology and rural mental health. She has also received training as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). Dr. Garcia-Bravo has worked with patients in diverse settings through her broad training and work experiences, including VA hospitals and hospice units, brain injury rehabilitation programs, university counseling centers, and private practice (neuropsychology and general). Dr. Garcia-Bravo has a passion for helping adults live their best and most purposeful lives at every stage of life. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, work-life stress, perfectionism, self-doubt/self-criticism, changes in mood, relationship concerns, burnout, or existential angst about life in general, she provides a safe space to help you feel understood, supported, and honored. She works collaboratively with you to identify your strengths, help you gain a better understanding of your underlying difficulties, develop a calmer mind, and work in a new direction to achieve your goals and live your best and most meaningful life. Her style is warm and down to earth, and her theoretical orientation draws from humanistic, mindfulness-based, and cognitive behavioral therapies. She currently offers in-office appointments at her San Antonio location, as well as telehealth (video) therapy sessions for residents of Texas. Dr. Garcia-Bravo is a native Spanish speaker and provides services in both English and Spanish.
