Amy N Gorniak, PsyD, is a San Antonio native. In her private practice, Hearthlight Mental Health, PLLC, she specializes in treating tweens, teens, and adults coping with trauma, loss, and life transitions that have left them struggling to find meaning in the face of challenges; she also provides psychological assessment for a variety of neurodevelopmental and psychological concerns. Dr. Gorniak especially appreciates the opportunity to serve her community by providing 2SLGBTQIAP+ affirming care. Her approach to therapy is trauma-informed, embodied, and relational; she works to actively center systemic issues, intersectionality, and the impact of climate change and social dynamics on mental health and well-being. Additionally, Dr. Gorniak provides psychological assessment and family consultation services on a part-time basis as an Outpatient Psychologist at Clarity Child Guidance Center where she completed her postdoctoral fellowship.
